Our huge thanks go to all of our community partners who have made tremendous efforts to reach their fundraising goals. There are so many great examples of those who are driven by their compassion and empathy to support our city centre hospitals.

To name everyone would be impossible so we would like to mention a few to illustrate the efforts of everyone and to thank them all:

  • Ignit10n 2017 teams at University of Bristol collectively raised over £12,000 for the BHOC through their 10-hour sporting challenge.
  • Rock Against Cancer at the Kings Arms in Wiltshire raised £12,500 to support the Golden Gift Appeal and prostate cancer research in Bristol. Their total fundraising to date is over £37,500.
  • All those who attended the Christmas Star Concert at Bristol Cathedral who made the 2016 event the most successful yet, with all 600 tickets sold and £6,700 raised.
  • Worlebury Golf Club who chose to support us for a second year raising £9,324 in 2016 for Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, bringing their total fundraising to £18,746.
  • The trustees of the former Mounthill Mission church in Kingswood, donated £34,000 to Above & Beyond for the Bristol Heart Institute and the new multi-faith sanctuary from the sale of the church.
  • 75 participants of the 2017 Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge have helped to raise £100k to support the Major Trauma and Rehabilitation Unit in the BRHC. The team was made up of 46 corporate riders from 12 companies and 39 members of the community.
