We’re on the lookout for more Above & Beyond Charity Champions!

As a Charity Champion you'll join other members of UHBW staff in helping to raise awareness of your official hospital charity. With your support, the charity will be able to provide you and your patients with more of the things that matter the most.

What does a Charity Champion do? 

The role acts as a link between your ward/department and Above & Beyond, encouraging staff fundraising, highlighting opportunities to fund projects, equipment or improvements, and informing us about grateful patients who would like to support the charity.

We know how busy you are, so the role includes responsibilities that can fit around your normal work routine:

  • Give regular Above & Beyond updates at team meetings e.g. promoting upcoming fundraising events and new projects soon to arrive on your ward.
  • Keep your ward or department up to date with posters, flyers and staff freebies.
  • Help to identify other colleagues in your hospital who would make great Charity Champions.

How we’ll support you:

  • Monthly Charity Champion updates. Information you need to know for the month ahead!
  • We’ll send you a regular stock of posters, leaflets and staff materials to hand out.
  • You'll get an exclusive Charity Champion badge and Above & Beyond water bottle.
