Our fundraising supports a wide variety of patient improvement projects, staff development and clinical research, working as the official partner of University Hospitals Bristol and supporting health related projects in the wider community. 2018 saw the successful completion of our latest appeal, raising £830,000 to improve the facilities and support innovation in one of the country’s leading specialist hospitals – The Bristol Heart Institute.

We are a medium-size charity with ambitious development plans, looking for up to three new trustees as a result of the retirement of some of our longer serving trustees. We are particularly interested in individuals who have some background in the following areas:

Enterprise & strategic development

Fundraising

IT/digital

NHS organisational and medical knowledge

One of the appointed Trustees should be willing to be the “nominated” trustee for safeguarding.

We welcome applications from all sections of the wider community.
