New sensory equipment for patients at BRHC New equipment for the waiting area at Carousel Outpatients Department in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) has been funded thanks to Above & Beyond supporters. The Carousel Outpatients Department is a busy area and sees a wide variety of children with additional needs. Sue and Sam from the Play Team at BRHC drew up the plan for the equipment and two Nursing Assistants, Emily and Andrea, did a sponsored skydive to help raise the funds needed. Emily and Andrea bravely made the jump in 2017 and raised £4,772. The new equipment is now in place and surrounds a portable sensory unit which was funded by Time is Precious. Sue Avent, from the Play Team at BRHC, said: It's an extremely popular area with all of our children who are attending their appointments and the equipment was greatly needed. Many thanks to all who had a part in providing this fantastic sensory area in Carousel. Make a donation to Above & Beyond today and help fund vital equipment for your hospitals.
