Bristol Dental Hospital
The University of Bristol Dental Hospital is a centre of excellence and provides routine and specialist clinical dental services for the South West. The hospital has a patient catchment area extending from Birmingham to Southampton to Exeter. The Dental Hospital exists side by side with the University of Bristol Dental School, which has been training dental surgeons since 1906 and professionals complementary to dentistry since 1972.
There is a comprehensive range of specialist services led by nationally and internationally recognised consultants.
Like all of our hospitals, the dental hospital relies on donations and fundraising to make a difference above & beyond what the NHS can provide. For family, friends and partner Alan, the pain of losing Ian Morris to a rare form of tumour will never fade, but the knowledge that Ian wanted his experience to benefit others treated at Bristol Dental Hospital has helped to spur them on to continue the fundraising he started before he died. The money they raised has funded the creation of an international research and teaching collection, a quiet room for patients and a scholarship fund for doctors. Read more here.
