About us Your hospitals Bristol Dental Hospital The University of Bristol Dental Hospital (BDH) is a Centre of Excellence providing routine and specialist clinical dental services for the South West. The hospital acts as a teaching platform for dental undergraduate students at the University of Bristol which is one of the top dental schools in the UK. Students provide emergency treatment and a range of specialist services for patients, under supervision of nationally and internationally recognised consultants. Did you know? Each year, staff treat around 85,000 outpatients. BDH has been training dental surgeons since 1906. 1,849 patients had dental surgery in 2016. What we have funded Nearly £63,000 to fund a pilot study for a new dental training programme for students. Development of a Training DVD for use by dental staff across the South West. Attendance for students and staff to various training courses including National Dental Therapist Conference, European Congress of Dental & Maxillofacial Radiology and more.
