2021 will see Cardiff host two half marathons. In March, the postponed 2020 race will take place. On October 3rd, the 19th edition of the Cardiff Half Marathon will go ahead and entries are now open to the public!

The Cardiff Half Marathon is one of the largest mass participation races in the UK. It's a flat, fast course that takes in some of the city's most breathtaking scenery including the iconic Cardiff Castle.

How to take part

Public entry is now open for the October 2021 edition of the Cardiff Half Marathon. Follow these steps to run for Bristol's hospitals!

Step 1 – Visit the official Cardiff Half Marathon website to sign up to the race. 

Already got your own place? Awesome! We want to know who you are, so click our ‘I have my own place’ blue button and fill out your details.

Step 2 – Our team will get in touch to kick-start your fundraising, show you how to set up a JustGiving page, and welcome you to our team!

How much do I need to fundraise?

There is no minimum sponsorship, which means you can raise as much as you want for your hospitals with no pressure!

Can I sign a team up to take part?

Of course! If you would like to enter a team, please email [email protected] to have a chat.

Do I have to be an expert runner to take part?

The Cardiff Half Marathon is a fast, flat route suitable for all abilities. We have training plans and advice for every level of runner, so you definitely don’t need to be an expert.
