Our Charity Trustees
There are five current Trustees:
Professor Richard Dixon (Chairman)
Former Vice-Chairman of the United Bristol Healthcare Trust and Emeritus Professor
of Chemistry and Senior Research Fellow of the University of Bristol.
Term of office: October 2003 to September 2011
Ms Julie Austin
Solicitor, Hempsons Solicitors - area of work is clinical negligence and medico-legal
advisory work.
Term of office: November 1999 - September 2009
Mrs Joan Bayliss
Chair of the Public and Patient Involvement Forum for the United Bristol Healthcare
Trust.
Term of office: January 2005 - December 2008
Mr Tom Dowell
Chairman of Bristol Primary Care Trust. He has spent his whole working
life in the health services as clinician, manager, non-executive member and chair.
He has experience in postgraduate education and training in public health, epidemiology
and statistics.
Term of office: March 2003 - February 2011
Mr Graham Nix
Former Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive for the University Hospitals Bristol. He is also a Non-Executive Director for the North Somerset Primary Care Trust and a Gateway Reviewer for NHS Wales.
Term of office: March 2007- February 2011
