 On Saturday September 17th from 10am – 2pm a
Public Open Day will offer local people a behind the
scenes glimpse of work carried out at the Bristol Eye
Hospital (BEH). There will be the chance to see major
new developments funded by us – including a brand new
Paediatric Unit with a Children’s Optometry Room,
Teenager Zone, and a Genetic Eye Clinic.
Helping
to continue to support innovation at the BEH, Specsaver
stores across Bristol are sponsoring the Open Day and
have made us their Charity of the Year. If you would

Walk through the
wardrobe at the Narnia Christmas Party |
 If you are already looking forward to
Christmas, a unique chance to experience the magic of
Narnia and spread a little magic in Bristol’s central
hospitals is on offer. The Hype Agency Narnia Christmas
Party is supporting Above & Beyond on Tuesday 20
December. Guests will walk through the wardrobe to an
enchanted woodland to enjoy a drinks reception, three
course meal, live band and DJ for just £35 per person.
£5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Above &
Beyond.

Finding the spirit
of Adventure |
 Shelley Cunningham is walking over 600 miles,
Scott Palmer cycled the London to Paris Bike Ride and
Ryan Baylis is running the London Marathon to raise
money for Bristol’s Central Hospitals. If you would like
to challenge yourself we have Adventure Racing, a
Kilimanjaro Summit Climb, Skydiving and a 100km cycling
event.
Coming soon in 2012 we have a whole
calendar of challenges including triathalons.
