Above and Beyond Charities - The Charitable Trust for the United Bristol Hospitals

Helping Us Above and Beyond Charities makes over £260,000 of grants at just one meeting! In 2006/2007 our Charity made grants in excess of £2.6million to enhance healthcare in Bristol. We were only able to do this thanks to the generous support of our donors. The Trustees were delighted to be able to approve sixteen major grants at their last meeting which took place on 9 November 2007 with a combined value in excess of £260,000. These grants included: • £25,000 for a variety of projects which will support staff throughout the Division of Medicine. • £24,000 for Artwork enhancements within the refurbished Dental Hospital and the new Sexual Health Clinic. • Over £90,000 to support various research projects throughout the Trust. The Trustees are delighted to be able to continue to fund projects above and beyond those funded by the NHS, making a real difference to patient care.
