♥ Throughout February you can say thank you for the care you or your family have received in Bristol’s central hospitals. The Above & Beyond Love Books will be situated in the following hospitals for you to record your comments:
Bristol Heart Institute
BHOC
Bristol Dental Hospital
Bristol Eye Hospital
Bristol Royal Hospital for Children
St Michaels Hospital
Alternatively you wear your heart on your sleeve. Our heart pin badges will also be available to buy. A £1 goes a long way to making a difference.
The Bristol Heart Institute brought 21st healthcare to cardiac patients across the Southwest and it was Above & Beyond’s Heart of Bristol Appeal that helped to make it happen. We raised nearly £850,000 to add value to the £61million NHS funded hospital which opened its doors in 2009. The projects we supported included furnishing and equipping visitor accommodation rooms, funding an arts programme for the hospital (a first for adult care within Bristol's acute hospitals)and the provision of tele-medicine facilities to link with centre’s throughout the region.

Keeping fit is a great way to keep your heart healthy, so why not make this Valentines the day you begin training for the Bristol 10k, the Bristol Bike Night or the testicular cancer awareness raising swimming challenge, Splosh for Dosh? Your efforts can make a real difference to thousands of people and will help to keep you feeling fit and heart healthy.

♥ Our Fundraisers
The Bristol Boys are cycling from John O Groats to Lands End to raise money for Above & Beyond. This Valentines Day they will be holding a cake sale at the Bristol Royal Infirmary to raise money for their trip. Any support is welcome so why not treat yourself or a loved one with some of their delicious baked goodies or alternatively wear your heart on your sleeve and buy a heart shaped pin badge.
The boys will be in the BRI between 10.30am and 2.30pm (they will be situated in the lift area on Level 2).
