Artists Appointed for BHOC Art Programme

The BHOC(Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre) has appointed three artists to work on three commissions as part of the BHOC refurbishment.
Artists, Robin Blackledge, Stuart Low and Carole Innocent from Innocent Gallery in Bristol have been appointed to work on three commissions for the Above & Beyond funded BHOC Arts Programme.
Robin Blackledge has been commissioned to create art works that will welcome and engage patiens and visitors as they wait in the main reception area and other waiting spaces. He is also working with Stuart Low, an architectural stained glass artist based in Bristol to produces some bright and colourful glass work for the windows within the stairwell. Carole Innocent will source a number of artworks for treatment areas within the BHOC. She will work with a number of local artists and draw inspiration from locations in and around Bristol.
The BHOC Arts Programme has been developed Willis Newson, a leading arts adn wellbeing development agency. They have visited the centre, researched other arts projects within cancer care enviroments and talked to staff, patients and visitors to find out what they would like in terms of artwork.
