Above and Beyond Charities - The Charitable Trust for the United Bristol Hospitals

The Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre care’s for over 6,500 patients every year, with up to 1,000 visitors passing through each day. Praise from patients and visitors is not hard to find, but something that everyone agrees with is that the building, like the new BHI, needs to reflect the outstanding care and treatment they receive and the fantastic staff who work there.

The Above & Beyond Charities CaRE Appeal (CaRE stands for the Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Environment Appeal) aims to provide £1.6million of funding to help transform the main reception area, counselling and support facilities, the outpatient’s facilities, and the information centre. The Charity has already committed £1.1million of funding, the largest single grant ever given, but we still need to raise £500,000 by autumn 2010 to make the project a reality.
