Do you fancy running seven marathons in seven continents in seven days. No? Then how about running the Bristol Half Marathon or Bristol 10k race?
At the Above & Beyond Charities Champagne Reception, former patient of the Bristol cardiac services and intrepid explorer, Sir Ranulph raised a glass to the new Bristol Heart Institute and the team at the BRI. ‘’Bristol is a good place to have a heart attack’’ he joked, and urged everyone to keep fit for a healthy heart. Sir Ranulph had a double heart bypass in 2003 after suffering a heart attack while sitting in an aircraft at Bristol airport. He then went on to run seven marathons in seven continents in seven days.
So be inspired by Sir Ranulph and do something amazing this year by running for the Heart of Bristol Appeal. We need your help to raise the final £100,000 needed to reach the Appeal’s £800,000 target.
Runners will soon be able to register for the Bristol Half Marathon whilst the deadline for Bristol 10k race registrations is March 2nd.
