Above and Beyond Charities - The Charitable Trust for the United Bristol Hospitals

Money raised by the Above & Beyond CaRE Appeal has been used in four key areas.

Artists consulted with healthcare staff and patients to identify places in the area that were important to them - such as Bristol Harbour, Clevedon Pier and Cheddar Gorge. As a result, new artworks such as photography in waiting areas, paintings in clinic rooms and stained glass art panels on stairwells now link patients, visitors, and staff to well-loved and familiar scenes. These artworks - together with new lighting and way-finding signs - have helped to radically transform the hospital.

"What the CaRE Appeal means to the team here in the Outpatients Department is the creation of a more positive and appropriate environment where we can provide a more centred, holistic level of care and increased privacy to meet patient's needs.
