Above and Beyond Charities - The Charitable Trust for the United Bristol Hospitals

It is thanks to many local fundraisers, businesses, donors and trusts that we are able to make a real difference to patient care in our city. This generous support allows us to invest funds in projects like our work to transform Bristol's cancer hospital, the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre.

We are a local charity, made up of the people of Bristol, for the people of Bristol. Working with our staff and volunteer team, you can support many different areas of work within the hospitals, to make a difference to every patient and every condition.

An exciting programme of fundraising events runs throughout the year. Whether it's, skydiving or trekking, cycling or running, there are a range of challenges on offer for you at home and abroad. We also have a range of great ideas on fundraising in your local area and workplace.

Some people decide to say thank you for the care they have received in the hospitals by organising their own fundraising event. Others may decide to set up a tribute fund in memory of a loved one, or leave a lasting legacy by making a gift in their will that can benefit patient care in future.

From sponsored walks and talent contest to company quizzes and charity balls, we know how much hard work is involved for individuals and businesses when it comes to raising money. That is why at Above & Beyond we will do all we can to help.

As the official charity for all nine central hospitals in Bristol, we also work closely with experienced hospital staff. This partnership means that we can make sure that all funds raised or donated - from small to big amounts - can be spent where the money is needed most. Our aim is to provide even better treatment and care in our hospitals.

Each year we provide approx £3 million to the hospitals to improve the hospital environments, fund innovative research, support staff and provide state of the art equipment.
