Hello from all at Above & Beyond. This is our way of keeping you up to date with our news. It's difficult to include every project we support, but one that made us all smile a little more brightly recently is the opening of the new extension to Ronald McDonald House. A place to stay Since 2002, Ronald McDonald House has provided accommodation allowing families to stay together, just a stone's throw away from the Children's Hospital. The demand is so great however that they had outgrown their accommodation. We wanted to help and gave a grant of £175,000 to convert a disused bungalow on the site into five extra bedrooms. Working together means that we have been able to provide the facilities needed to reduce stress and allow families to stay together during treatment.

Feel Fabio with friends, footie and fundraising this summer. Why not get in the mood for the World Cup by hosting your own fundraising football game. Switch the TV on, fire up the BBQ, invite some friends round and get them to pay for the best seats in the house with a donation to the CaRE Appeal. Alternatively, organise your own tournament and challenge your work mates to a few games of footie. It's a great way to celebrate the beautiful game, have some laughs and raise money for a great cause. Whatever you decide to do it will be a great idea. The Above & Beyond funded arts programme at the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre is well under way and Robin Blackledge is keen to get patients, visitors and staff involved in the process. Robin will be asking for happy memories of time spent in Bristol and the South West to include in his artwork. Full details of how you can contribute will be available on our website. Pictured is one of Lynn Golden's Bermuda florals which will add a splash of colour in the treatment areas. Art is also on the agenda for the BEH as it celebrates its Bicentenary year. Look out for updates and more information in the coming months.

Fancy a weekend of cycling in September? If you've answered yes to at least three of these questions then we would love to hear from you. On 24th September - 26th September we will be cycling through some of the South Wests most beautiful countryside to raise money for Above & Beyonds CaRE Appeal. The appeal aims to transform the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre for people living with cancer and the staff who treat them.
